Everything about Landscope Christie's International Real Estate and the Hong Kong luxury property market

Manchester - UK's Best Investment Choice

Manchester has rapidly established itself as one of the UK's top real estate investment locations, especially when comparing its property prices to London! With numerous international enterprises moving large parts of their operations into Manchester (including Barclay's, the BBC, Kellogg's, Adidas, and Siemens, to name just a few) as well as the increasing number of students who attend the numerous universities within the city, there is no surprise that Manchester now has the UK's second largest population of 2.55 million.

Even to those without much knowledge of sport, it is well known that Manchester is home to two famous football teams: Manchester United and Manchester City. Manchester United has won 20 league titles, 11 FA Cups, 4 League Cups and 20 FA Community Shields, which has made it the world's 3rd most valuable football club in 2015 at $1.98 billion. Manchester City has likewise been rather successful, winning 6 major honors since 2011 and is the world's 5th most valuable football team at $1.38 billion. Their games have brought myriad fans together and their stadium is one of the many attractions Manchester has to offer. Who wouldn't want an opportunity to live close to their favourite team?

For Manchester residents, the convenience of travelling locally or even overseas is phenomenal. There's an international airport that maintains many direct flights to and from global cities like Hong Kong, Dubai, New York, Beijing, and Singapore. Easily accessible highways and trains can get you anywhere in the UK quickly without a hassle; with London, Bristol, Liverpool, and Birmingham only a short journey away. Manchester is in a truly prime position for travelling to popular nearby destinations and internally its straightforward transportation systems are remarkably easy to use.

If you have been following our previous posts about the UK, you should know that most UK universities offer on campus accommodation for first year students only, regardless of overseas or local status. With over 20 higher education institutions in Manchester, there are many students each year that find themselves with urgent housing needs. For many investors, this consistent shortage of supply and solid year-on-year demand has underpinned most buy-to-let purchases.

Landscope International is proud to present Halo, Manchester at The Excelsior Hotel on April 16th-17th. The project is located only a few minutes' walk from Victoria Station and is on the edge of NOMA, a rapidly developing and increasingly popular hub within the city under supervision of The Co-operative and Hermes. Halo offers low unit prices in a variety of 1-3 bedroom configurations, with the majority of the units benefitting from individual private balconies. Prices starting from £335 per square foot and the developer offers 6% rental guarantee.
